FX has officially greenlit a pilot for the Snowfall spinoff, marking a major step toward expanding the acclaimed series.

Set in 1990s Los Angeles, the untitled drama follows Wanda Bell-Simmons (Gail Bean), a recovering addict determined to push West Coast rap into the mainstream while navigating the dangers of an ongoing gang war. Isaiah John will also reprise his role as Leon Simmons.

Fans will have the chance to re-watch the magical Pride Lands on their screens! ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ (2024) will be available for streaming on Disney+ starting March 26. The film was directed by Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins, with a screenplay written by Jeff Nathanson.

CBS has officially renewed The Neighborhood for its eighth and final season, set to air in 2025-26. The long-running sitcom, starring and executive produced by Cedric the Entertainer, has been a Monday night staple but found itself on the renewal bubble this year. Following CBS's recent cancellations of FBI: Most Wanted, FBI: International, and S.W.A.T., The Neighborhood is the first to receive a reprieve.

Emmy-nominated writer, producer, and showrunner Courtney A. Kemp is developing a new Netflix crime drama series, ‘Nemesis,’ in collaboration with writer and producer Tani Marole. The forthcoming series is part of Kemp’s exciting overall deal with Netflix. Matthew Law, Y’lan Noel, and Cleopatra Coleman are set to star in this crime drama which tells the story of two men on opposite sides of the law. An unshakeable police detective attempts to bring down a criminal mastermind, setting the stage for a suspenseful battle of wits and will. The forthcoming series is reportedly set to subvert the typical heist genre.

Taylor Russell has been cast as the leading lady in Michael B. Jordan’s upcoming reimagining of The Thomas Crown Affair. Jordan, who will both star and direct, selected Russell after an extensive audition process that included a screen test in London. Production is set to begin this summer in the UK.

Mara Brock Akil’s new drama series ‘Forever’ finally has an official release date! The highly anticipated series is set to premiere May 8 on Netflix and is part of Akil’s overall Netflix deal. Academy Award winner Regina King has reportedly directed the first episode, and she is also credited as one of the executive producers for the show. The series, starring Lovie Simone and Michael Cooper Jr., is an eponymous contemporary adaptation and reimagining of Judy Blume’s classic 1975 novel about a budding romance between two teens. 

NBC has officially ordered a pilot for a new single-camera comedy starring and executive produced by Tracy Morgan. The project reunites Morgan with his former 30 Rock collaborators, including co-showrunners Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, along with writer Sam Means.
