Taylor Russell Selected To Co-Star Opposite Michael B. Jordan In ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’ Reimagining

Taylor Russell has been cast as the leading lady in Michael B. Jordan’s upcoming reimagining of The Thomas Crown Affair. Jordan, who will both star and direct, selected Russell after an extensive audition process that included a screen test in London. Production is set to begin this summer in the UK.

Jordan will also produce the film under his Outlier Society banner alongside Elizabeth Raposo. The project will be released exclusively in theaters.

This marks the third iteration of The Thomas Crown Affair, following the 1968 classic starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway and the 1999 remake featuring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. While plot details for the new version remain under wraps, Jordan envisions the film as a potential successor to high-stakes spy thrillers like Mission: Impossible and James Bond.

Russell, known for Bones and All with Timothée Chalamet and the A24 drama Waves, continues to solidify her rising star status. She first gained recognition in Netflix’s Lost in Space and is represented by UTA and James Feldman.

The film’s screenplay was written by Drew Pearce, with earlier drafts by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson. Producers include Patrick McCormick and Marc Toberoff, with Alan Trustman, the writer of the original 1968 film, serving as an executive producer.
