The trailer for Keke Palmer and SZA's new R-rated comedy One of Them Days, directed by Lawrence Lamont, has just dropped. The film is set to hit theaters on January 24, 2025.

Tubi has announced four new projects through Stubios, a fan-driven studio designed to support aspiring filmmakers. In partnership with Issa Rae’s ColorCreative, the platform also provides mentorship to help these up-and-coming creators bring their ideas to life.

Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat and Robin Roberts’ Rock’n Robin Productions have partnered to executive produce A King Like Me, a documentary that shines a light on the Zulu Krewe, a historic Black cultural organization in New Orleans. This collaboration was announced by Highly Flammable Productions following the film’s premiere at the 35th Annual New Orleans Film Festival, where it served as the opening night feature.

Jurassic World fans are in for another thrilling adventure! Universal Pictures will release the newest installment of the Jurassic World franchise, ‘Jurassic World Rebirth,’ in theaters July 2025. Two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali, along with Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, join the cast for another action-packed expedition among the colossal reptiles. The film is written by David Koepp and directed by award-winning filmmaker Gareth Edwards. ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart, and Jim Spencer, with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley serving as producers.

Colman Domingo is set to make his feature directorial debut with Scandalous, a Miramax drama that explores the secret love affair between 1950s film star Kim Novak and singer-actor Sammy Davis Jr. Sydney Sweeney will portray Novak, and David Jonsson will play Davis Jr. Filming is expected to begin after Domingo and Sweeney wrap up Season 3 of HBO’s Euphoria.

Marvel Studios' Blade will no longer hit theaters on November 7, 2025. Instead, Disney will release 20th Century Studios’ Predator: Badlands on that date.

Christmas has come early this year! The trailer for Meet Me Next Christmas has arrived, with Falling Inn Love and Resort to Love star Christina Milian at the center of another heartwarming holiday rom-com. Milian also  executive produces the film, which  promises to bring joy to the world, Pentatonix style, this fall.

Academy Award nominee Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor has completed filming Liz Here Now, a new indie drama directed by Sterling Macer Jr. Set in 1967, the film follows Liz Baxter (Ellis-Taylor), a nanny for a white family in Oakland, California, during the rise of the Black Panther Party. When Liz discovers the children she cares for are being mistreated by their mother (played by Twilight's Rachelle Lefevre), her efforts to protect them lead to accusations of involvement in a Black Panther conspiracy.

When Tarrell is confronted by his father, he faces a dilemma: deal with it here or let the unforgiveness follow him home with his family.

Tika Sumpter, known for her roles in Sonic the Hedgehog and A Madea Christmas, is teaming up with Tyler Perry again for a new romantic comedy for Amazon MGM Studios. In addition to starring, Sumpter co-wrote the script, which explores family dynamics through the lens of two estranged sisters. The film, tentatively titled Unt. Sisters in Italy, is currently in production.

Netflix has secured the legal drama Monsanto, directed by John Lee Hancock, known for The Blind Side and Saving Mr. Banks. The film features Anthony Mackie alongside Glen Powell and Laura Dern, centering on a true story of corporate accountability.

Netflix is developing Pride, an upcoming movie based on Ibi Zoboi’s 2018 young adult novel. The modern retelling of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is being produced by the Obamas' Higher Ground and Alloy Entertainment, with Karen Joseph Adcock (The Bear) adapting the screenplay.

Netflix has released a teaser for Tyler Perry’s upcoming WWII drama, The Six Triple Eight, starring Kerry Washington. The film will hit select theaters on December 6 and be available on Netflix starting December 20.
