Daniel Ezra Joins Paramount's ‘The Running Man’ Remake Alongside Glen Powell
Daniel Ezra, known for his standout role in All American, is taking on a new challenge as he joins the cast of Paramount's upcoming The Running Man remake. Ezra will star alongside Glen Powell, with Katy O’Brian also joining the project. Edgar Wright, known for his dynamic directing style, will helm the film and produce it alongside Nira Park and Simon Kinberg. Wright also co-wrote the script with Michael Bacall.
The Running Man, originally a novel by Stephen King (written under the pseudonym Richard Bachman), was first adapted into a 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The story is set in a dystopian America in 2025, where the protagonist, Ben Richards, competes in a deadly reality show to earn money for his ailing daughter. As part of the game, he is hunted by professional killers.
The film is scheduled for release on November 21, 2025, with George Linder as executive producer.
