Kendrick Lamar and his creative partner Dave Free along with South Park co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are set to produce a new live-action comedy for Paramount. The project was initially announced in January 2022, with Emmy-winning South Park scribe Vernon Chatman writing the script. At the time, there was no director attached to the project, but sources now confirm that Parker will direct the film himself.

Antoinette Media, a production company launched in 2020 by Lashan Browning, has secured a “substantial equity investment” from Paramount.
