Shaquita Smith To Star In And Produce Indie Action-Adventure Film ‘Voyage Of The Forgotten’

Shaquita Smith, best known for her roles in AMC’s Wicked City and BET+’s My Valentine Crush, is set to produce and star in the upcoming indie action-adventure film Voyage of the Forgotten.

The story follows a young historian, played by Smith, who embarks on a dangerous mission to locate a legendary ship loaded with gold. Her journey takes a dark turn as she becomes caught in a web of deception and betrayal. Written by Malcolm Ali (The Changers), the film is scheduled to begin shooting in the UK in late spring 2025.

Voyage of the Forgotten is a TreeHouse Productions film and marks another significant step in Smith’s flourishing career. She recently gained acclaim for My Valentine Crush, where she starred opposite Travis Cure (The Oval) and Jeff Logan (Double Cross), portraying a woman reevaluating her love life after an unexpected connection with an internet technician.

A Troy State University alumna and former Miss Georgia USA contestant, Smith has also appeared in hit TV shows like New Amsterdam, NCIS: New Orleans, Hap & Leonard, and Survivor’s Remorse. Her diverse acting background has solidified her as a versatile and rising talent in the industry.
