Ryan Coogler & Armenian Film Society To Induct Producer Sev Ohanian Into The Armenian Film Hall Of Fame
On September 7, Academy Award winner Ryan Coogler will present his Proximity Media co-founder, Sev Ohanian, with an induction into the Armenian Film Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place at the Armenian Film Society Gala during the 2025 Armenian Film Festival in Los Angeles.
The Armenian Film Society (AFS) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2015 to elevate and celebrate Armenian filmmakers who have made significant strides in the industry with their stories.
Ohanian, whose impressive body of work includes ‘My Big Fat Armenian Family’ (2008), ‘Searching’ (2018), ‘Run’ (2020), ‘Missing’ (2023), and ‘Sinners’ (2025), will be the first filmmaker inducted into the Armenian Film Hall of Fame on the 10th anniversary of AFS. This honor recognizes his incredible impact as a filmmaker and storyteller, with his stories resonating with audiences around the world.
The festival will also feature an exclusive conversation between Coogler and Ohanian, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at the history-making collaborations that have brought their beloved films to life.
From all of us at TheBlkScript, congratulations to Sev Ohanian on this incredibly well-deserved honor!
