Watch: Official Trailer For ‘The Burial’ Starring Jamie Foxx, Tommy Lee Jones, And Jurnee Smollett

In a gripping twist of fate, funeral home owner Jeremiah O’Keefe (played by Tommy Lee Jones) faces the challenge of a lifetime when a handshake deal turns sour, threatening his family's business. Enter charismatic lawyer Willie E. Gary (portrayed by Jamie Foxx), known for his unbeatable track record over the past 12 years.

In Amazon Studios' upcoming film, "The Burial," O'Keefe and Gary team up to take on a formidable half-billion-dollar corporation. The stakes are high, and the tension even higher as corporate corruption and racial injustice are brought to the forefront.

But the battle doesn't stop there. Meet Mame Downes (Jurnee Smollett), a top Harvard Law School graduate with a reputation as "The Python." She's the hotshot attorney representing the corporate giants and is ready to go head-to-head with Gary. Sparks fly during their first meeting, with Downes warning, "Once we begin that trial, I'm gonna destroy you."

As tempers flare and doubts arise, an unlikely bond forms between O'Keefe and Gary. Together, they navigate a treacherous legal landscape, all while seeking a staggering $100 million in damages.

"The Burial" boasts a stellar cast, including Mamoudou Athie, Pamela Reed, Bill Camp, and Alan Ruck. Directed by Maggie Betts and co-written by Doug Wright, based on a gripping New Yorker article by Jonathan Harr, this R-rated film promises an electrifying showdown.

Don't miss this legal thriller, hitting theaters for a limited one-week run starting October 6, and available for streaming on Prime Video from October 13.
