Rihanna Goes Blue! The Superstar Shines As Smurfette In ‘Smurfs,’ Hitting Theaters July 18

Rihanna Navy, get up! The 9x Grammy Award-winning singer and business mogul, Rihanna, makes her return to film this summer. Set to voice Smurfette in the new ‘Smurfs’ movie, she brings life to the coolest smurf in the whole village as they are confronted by a larger-than-life threat to their world.

The film, by Paramount Pictures, will be released in theaters July 18. Pam Brady wrote the screenplay for the animation, while Chris Miller and Matt Landon serve as directors. Producers Jay Brown, Ty Ty Smith, and Ryan Harris bring the project to life, while Rihanna also takes on the role as producer and songwriter, creating original music for the animated adventure.

Additional voice features in the film include Octavia Spencer, Sandra Oh, Xolo Maridueña, Hannah Waddingham, Natasha Lyonne, Nick Offerman, Amy Sedaris, Nick Kroll, Daniel Levy, James Corden, Alex Winter, Billie Lourd, Kurt Russell, and John Goodman. This voice cast creates an eclectic soundscape that brings the Smurfs’ adventures to life with humor, heart, and a touch of magic.
