Priyanka Chopra Jonas To Star Opposite John Cena And Idris Elba In Amazon Studios’ Action Film ‘Heads Of State’

Amazon Studios is partnering once again with Priyanka Chopra Jonas for the John Cena and Idris Elba movie, Heads of State. The film is set to start filming in May, with Ilya Naishuller directing from a script written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, based on an initial draft by Harrison Query. While the details of the plot are being kept under wraps, the movie has been described as a combination of Air Force One and Midnight Run.

Peter Safran and John Rickard are producing the film, with Cena, Elba, and Marcus Viscidi serving as executive producers. Chopra Jonas, who has over sixty international and Hollywood films to her credit, is a multi-talented actress and producer. In February 2021, she became a New York Times bestselling author with her memoir Unfinished. She will also be starring alongside Richard Madden in the upcoming Amazon Prime series Citadel, set to be released on April 28.

Chopra Jonas recently starred in Netflix's Academy Award-nominated feature The White Tiger, which she also executive produced. She is set to star in Sony's Love Again in the near future. Her production company, Purple Pebble Pictures, is under a first-look film and television deal with Amazon Studios and has also partnered with ViacomCBS to create original content that focuses on diversity and inclusion for its entertainment and youth channels.
