Premiere Of ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Season 3 Smashes Debut Weekend Viewing Record For Starz
Starz has hit a home run with the third season of Power Book II: Ghost, which has broken viewership records for the network. According to reports, the season's premiere episode drew in 5.8 million multi-platform viewers in the first three days after its release on March 17. This is the largest premiere weekend ever recorded by Starz, and is significantly higher than the 362,000 viewers who tuned in for the initial live telecast.
Interestingly, the weekend multi-platform viewership for the Season 3 debut was up about 30% from the Season 2 premiere, which aired in November 2021. However, the Season 2 premiere drew in 518,000 viewers for its live broadcast, which took place on a Sunday. Throughout the second season, the show averaged just over half a million live viewers per episode.
Before the launch of Season 3, Starz had already shown their confidence in the series by renewing it for a fourth installment. As of now, Season 4 is currently in production in New York.
