MSNBC cancels ‘The ReidOut,’ the acclaimed show hosted by esteemed journalist and political analyst Joy Reid. The news of the cancellation broke yesterday as part of a sweeping network shake-up in the wake of the new presidential administration, sparking widespread discussion and speculation. Reid joined MSNBC in 2011 as a contributor, and her show, ‘The ReidOut,’ premiered in 2020, featuring insightful one-on-one conversations with politicians and newsmakers that tackled pressing political issues in the public sphere. On her show, Reid has delivered powerful and thought-provoking segments, including “True Justice Requires Going Further Than the Chauvin Verdict” (2020), “Amazon Workers Vote on Unionization” (2021), and “A Party in Civil War” (2024), to name a few.

On social media, she confirmed that her final show will air tonight, February 24, at 7 p.m. Eastern. In 2016, she became the MSNBC host of 'AM Joy,' a morning show that covered weekly essential news and political issues, exploring how policy decisions impact our nation. Additionally, she was a talk radio producer and host for Radio One and an online news editor for WTVJ.
