Joining forces with Hollywood stars Jessica Biel and Xochitl Gomez, Mescudi is set to captivate audiences with his versatile talent. The film, helmed by the talented filmmakers Jonathan and Josh Baker, promises an intense and suspenseful journey on an earth-like planet. With production scheduled for the fall, "Ursa Major" is set to become a gripping addition to the sci-fi genre.

"Ursa Major," penned by a team of talented writers including Patrick Somerville, Colleen O'Brien, and Katie French, tells the story of a mother-daughter duo fighting for survival on an unfamiliar planet. As they hide from relentless hunters, a deadly storm looms on the horizon, adding to the suspense. The teenage daughter, Natalie, played by Xochitl Gomez, begins to question her mother, Charlie, portrayed by Jessica Biel, about their origins, their purpose on the planet, and the necessary steps to ensure their survival. Mescudi steps into the role of Blair, a member of an opposing faction that crash-lands on the same planet, intertwining their destinies with Charlie and Natalie's.

The film boasts a talented production team that includes Patrick Somerville, David Eisenberg, and Stephanie Jacob-Goldman through Tractor Beam, John Finemore through Lost City, Mason Novick through MXN Entertainment, and Allen Fischer and Brian Steinberg through Artists First. Additionally, James Hoppe and Jack Byrnes from Lost City will serve as executive producers alongside XYZ Films, which will partner with WME Independent for worldwide sales.
