‘Jumanji 3’ Set To Return For 2026 Holiday Release From Sony Pictures
Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are set to reunite for a new jungle adventure as Sony Pictures announces the release of Jumanji 3 on December 11, 2026. Johnson and Hart, who led the previous two films with Jack Black and Karen Gillan, are expected to return, alongside director Jake Kasdan. The movie promises a larger-than-life experience with screenings planned in IMAX and premium large formats.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) brought in over $950 million worldwide, establishing a huge fanbase for its modern twist on the original 1981 children's book and the 1995 Robin Williams film. Its sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), continued the success, grossing over $800 million globally.
Johnson has expressed his excitement for the next installment, hinting that it may be the final film in the series. In a 2022 interview, he revealed that Kasdan has crafted "a very special, cool idea" for what might be a memorable finale to the Jumanji journey. Meanwhile, Gillan mentioned the challenge of coordinating the cast’s schedules but affirmed their shared enthusiasm for reuniting.
