Dennis Haysbert, Telma Hopkins, Lawrence Saint Victor, Laurissa “Lala” Romain, and Aasha Davis to Star in New Drama ‘Higher Love’
Dennis Haysbert and Telma Hopkins are set to star in the new drama ‘Higher Love,’ written and directed by A.W. “Tony” Scott. They’ll star alongside Joe Pantoliano and Marilu Henner, with Lawrence Saint Victor, Laurissa “Lala” Romain, and Aasha Davis also joining the cast.
‘Higher Love’ tells the poignant story of a devoted husband (Haysbert) whose world is upended when his wife (Hopkins) falls critically ill. As he steps into the role of caregiver, he grapples with heartbreak, loneliness, and the emotional toll of a marriage transformed by illness. Along the way, he forms an unexpected friendship with a woman (Henner) whose own husband (Pantoliano) is ill, challenging his deepest beliefs about love, family, and faith, and forcing him to confront an impossible decision that will change everything.
Production is set to begin on August 4, with the film produced by Pierre Romain, A.W. 'Tony' Scott, Julie Solinger, and Jean Qing Su.
The film’s executive producers include Richard D’Angelo, Michael Bassick, Michael Laundon, Kristopher MacNeil, Nicole MacNeil, Kerri Miller, David Millstone, David Rubenstein, Isabella Medina Sarria, Chiz Schultz, and Ben T. Smith IV. Taleo Coles, Anthony Commodore, and Brandon Scott serve as associate producers.
