Creed III

MGM’s latest installment in the Rocky franchise, Creed III, is set to make a strong debut at the winter box office. With Michael B. Jordan making his feature directorial debut, the film about Apollo Creed’s son is eyeing a potential franchise-high opening with an estimated $38M-$40M debut across 4,007 theaters.

While previous Creed films opened during the Thanksgiving frame in 2015 and 2018, Creed III is expected to perform well during the winter season. It has already received a 90% fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes critics, higher than Creed II's 83% fresh rating, but slightly lower than the original Creed's 95%.

To add to its potential success, Creed III is offering special 7 p.m. shows tonight with Thursday previews starting at 7 p.m. The film also offers premium-ticket formats, including Imax, PLFs, and 4DX.
