Colman Domingo Joins Cast Of Gus Van Sant's Thriller ‘Dead Man’s Wire’

Colman Domingo is set to star in Gus Van Sant’s upcoming hostage thriller, Dead Man’s Wire. Known for his dynamic performances, Domingo continues to showcase his versatility by seamlessly transitioning between major projects.

After wrapping up scenes in London for film, The Running Man, Domingo will head to Louisville, Kentucky, to join the cast of Dead Man’s Wire. The film also stars Bill Skarsgård (Nosferatu) and Dacre Montgomery (Stranger Things), and is based on a chilling true story.

Written by Austin Kolodney, Dead Man’s Wire recounts the harrowing 1977 incident involving Tony Kiritsis, who held Indianapolis mortgage broker Dick Hall hostage with a shotgun rigged to a steel wire around Hall’s neck. The intense standoff became a national media spectacle.

Domingo will portray the radio broadcaster who serves as the only line of communication with Kiritsis. Reflecting on his role, Domingo shared, “This guy was in desperate straits, holding people hostage and speaking to a radio announcer he listened to every day. I sort of guide him not to kill people.”

As awards buzz surrounds Domingo’s performance in the A24 film Sing Sing, his momentum continues with this gripping project. Dead Man’s Wire promises to be another standout entry in the actor’s remarkable career.
