Chadwick Boseman To Be Honored in Upcoming Documentary From Words + Pictures
Chadwick Boseman’s legacy continues to live on. The beloved late actor will be honored with his own documentary from Words + Pictures, a production studio known for producing high-quality films that spotlight powerful stories and compelling people.
Chadwick Boseman, a South Carolina native, began his journey in theater and film at Howard University before rising to international acclaim. His early TV roles included appearances in ‘Third Watch’ (1999- 2005), ‘All My Children’ (1970- 2011), and NBC’s ‘Persons Unknown’ (2010), before his breakout role as Jackie Robinson in ‘42’ (2013). He went on to portray other Black cultural icons including James Brown in ‘Get on Up’ (2014) and Thurgood Marshall in ‘Marshall’ (2017).
Boseman also starred in films like ‘Message from the King’ (2016), ‘21 Bridges’ (2019), MCU’s ‘Black Panther’ (2018), ‘Da 5 Bloods’ (2020), and his Academy Award–nominated performance in ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ (2020). His role as T’Challa/ Black Panther captivated audiences and touched the hearts of people worldwide, elevating him to an internationally beloved icon before his untimely passing in 2020.
