AMC Cancels 'Parish' After One Season: Giancarlo Esposito's Crime Drama Ends
AMC has canceled Parish after just one season, following its premiere in March. The crime drama, starring Giancarlo Esposito, was an adaptation of the British series The Driver, but unfortunately, it won't be returning for a second season.
The show followed Esposito’s character, Gracian Parish, a former wheelman turned luxury car service owner in New Orleans. After his son’s brutal murder and the collapse of his business, Parish is drawn back into a dangerous world, reconnecting with old criminal ties in a high-stakes battle against a violent syndicate.
Despite strong performances from Esposito, Skeet Ulrich, and the rest of the cast, AMC confirmed the show’s cancellation, but Season 1 will remain available on AMC+ for fans to revisit or discover the series.
Created by Danny Brocklehurst and Jim Poyser, Parish delivered a gripping storyline of family, vengeance, and crime. While fans may be disappointed by its early end, the series leaves behind a thrilling first season with standout performances.
