Taylor Russell Joins The Cast Of Korean Thriller ‘Hope’ Also Starring Hoyeon, Michael Fassbender And Alicia Vikander
Taylor Russell, known for her roles in Waves and Bones and All, has landed a role in the highly anticipated Korean thriller, Hope. The film, directed by Na Hong-jin of The Wailing fame, features a star-studded cast that includes Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, and Hoyeon, breakout star of the hit series Squid Game.
Hope takes place in the small remote town of Hopo Port, where the residents discover a mysterious object on the outskirts of their community. As they delve further into the mystery, they realize they are up against a force they have never encountered before, and must fight for their survival.
Produced by Korean studio Plus M Entertainment and Forged Films, Hope is set to begin filming later this year. North American sales will be handled by UTA Independent Film Group and Plus M Entertainment.
Russell’s impressive acting chops have earned her critical acclaim, including a Gotham Award for Breakthrough Actor and an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Waves. Most recently, she won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor or Actress at the Venice Film Festival for her performance in Bones and All. Her upcoming project, Mother Couch, will see her star alongside Ewan McGregor and Ellen Burstyn.
