Samuel L. Jackson And Vincent Cassel Lead The Action-Thriller ‘Damaged’; Currently Filming In Scotland
Samuel L. Jackson and Vincent Cassel have been confirmed as the lead actors in the upcoming action thriller film, Damaged. The movie centers around a detective from Chicago who travels to Scotland after discovering that a serial killer's latest crimes are eerily similar to those he investigated five years prior, including the murder of his girlfriend.
In addition to Jackson and Cassel, the movie will also feature Kate Dickie, Gianni Capaldi, and John Hannah in supporting roles. The film will be directed by Terry McDonagh, who has directed episodes of popular shows like Killing Eve, Better Call Saul, and Breaking Bad. Production has already begun, with Red Sea Media and BondIt Media Capital financing the project and Red Sea handling the sales.
Stream Digital, a Scottish sports streaming company that recently entered the film industry, will be partnering with Red Sea Media and BondIt Media Capital to produce the movie.
Jackson, known for his roles in movies like Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained, and The Hitman's Bodyguard, will also be appearing in upcoming films like The Marvels, Argylle, and Disney+'s Secret Invasion. Cassel, who has appeared in Black Swan, Eastern Promises, and La Haine, was most recently seen in HBO's Westworld and Apple TV+'s Liaison, and has The Three Musketeers coming up.
Damaged is a project that has been in development for several years, according to Roman Kopelevich, a producer from Red Sea Media. He expressed excitement about the movie's amazing cast and team and looks forward to bringing the finished product to distribution partners.
Luke Taylor and Matthew Helderman, from BondIt Media Capital, also shared their enthusiasm for the project, stating that they are excited about the incredible package for Damaged and believe that the finished film will be exceptional.
The CEO of Stream Digital, Paul Aniello, added that they are proud to be working with such a great team to bring the story to life. Jackson is represented by CAA and Anonymous Content, Cassel by Range Media Partners and Agence Adequat, and McDonough by CAA and Independent Talent Group.
