Morris Chestnut Stars In CBS's New Medical Mystery Series 'Watson'; Premieres After AFC Championship Game

Morris Chestnut is set to headline Watson, a new medical mystery series premiering on CBS after the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, January 26, 2025. The show will also be available to stream on Paramount+. Following its debut, Watson will move to its regular Sunday night slot, beginning February 16 at 10:00 PM ET/PT.

Set six months after the death of Sherlock Holmes, Watson follows Dr. John Watson (Chestnut) as he returns to his medical career, heading a clinic that specializes in rare disorders. However, his past isn’t far behind. The series presents a fresh take on the classic character, shifting from criminal investigations to medical mysteries, while Watson faces new challenges, including the looming presence of his nemesis Moriarty.

Alongside Chestnut, the cast includes Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Ritchie Coster, Inga Schlingmann, and Rochelle Aytes. The show is produced by CBS Studios, with Craig Sweeny serving as showrunner and writer of the premiere episode. Chestnut also joins as an executive producer, alongside Sallie Patrick, Larry Teng, and others.
