Michael Ealy, Jaalen Best, Kai Parham, Omari Hardwick, Dana Gourrier, And Amin Joseph To Star In ‘The Greatest,’ Amazon’s Biopic On Muhammad Ali

Amazon Prime Video is set to release ‘The Greatest,’ a limited series about the life and legacy of the legendary heavyweight champion and social activist, Muhammad Ali. Michael Ealy has been tapped to play Malcolm X, the prominent Black revolutionary and close, though ultimately estranged, friend of Ali. Jaalen Best is set to star as Ali in this highly anticipated forthcoming series executive produced by Michael B. Jordan, Ben Watkins, and Ali’s widow, Lonnie Ali.

The series will dive into both Ali’s historic boxing career and the more intimate parts of his personal life and story. Fans will get a closer view of the man behind the gloves—the complex family man, the friend, the brother, son, and beloved community member.

Additional star features include Kai Parham as Rudy Clay (Ali’s younger brother), Omari Hardwick as Cassius “Cash” Clay Sr. (Ali’s father), and Dana Gourrier as Odessa “Bird” Clay (Ali’s mother). Amin Joseph joins the cast as Sonny Liston, Ali’s legendary rival whom he famously defeated in 1964 for his first world heavyweight title.
