Kevin Hart Returns With Season 3 Of ‘Die Hart’ Comedy Series On Roku; J.K. Simmons And Kathryn Hahn Join Cast

Kevin Hart is back for another adrenaline-filled adventure in Die Hart 3, set to debut on The Roku Channel on December 13th. The series continues its unique blend of action and comedy, with Hart reprising his satirical role as a heightened version of himself—a comedic actor desperate to reinvent himself as an action star.

In Season 3, “Kevin Hart is done with the action — what he really wants is critical success,” according to the logline. When he teams up with Jackson Pepper, “one of the all-time great directors” played by Simmons (“Whiplash,” “Spider-Man”), Hart is launched onto “the wrong kind of ‘most wanted’ list.”

In the first installment, Die Hart, Hart enlists in an action hero school run by the eccentric and dangerous Ron Wilcox (played by John Travolta). Alongside Hart, Nathalie Emmanuel (Fast & Furious, Game of Thrones) shines as Jordan King, an aspiring stuntwoman whose skills often surpass Hart’s aspirations. The sequel, Die Hart 2: Die Harter, ups the stakes as Hart faces even crazier challenges, including a deadly rivalry with action superstar Claude Van De Velde (Jean Reno).

Die Hart 3 promises to escalate the madness, with Emmanuel once again taking center stage as Hart’s quick-witted and daring ally. Their dynamic partnership has become a fan favorite, offering both comedic banter and jaw-dropping stunts. Kathryn Hahn, J.K. Simmons, Tony Cavalero, and Anna Garcia have also joined the third installment of the action comedy series.

Hart’s Die Hart franchise has been a standout project, blending humor, action, and self-parody. As one of Roku’s most successful original series, it continues to showcase Kevin Hart’s knack for evolving his comedic brand.

Season three of “Die Hart” is produced by Hartbeat. Executive producers are Hart, Bryan Smiley, Luke Kelly-Clyne, Jeff Clanagan, writer Tripper Clancy, director Josh Ruben and Ty Walker. The series is overseen by Morgan Pichinson and Sabrina Lyall on behalf of Roku Originals
