UnPrisoned, Kerry Washington's new comedy series, has become the most-watched Hulu premiere for Onyx Collective to date. The series premiered on March 10 and has already become the most-watched Hulu Original scripted series of 2023, in terms of hours watched, according to Onyx.

UnPrisoned is the first comedy series produced by Onyx Collective, a premium content brand that focuses on curating programming by creators of color. The show, inspired by creator Tracy McMillan's life, follows a relationship therapist and single mother named Paige Alexander (played by Washington) whose life takes a chaotic turn when her father, Edwin Alexander (Delroy Lindo), is released from prison and moves in with her and her teenage son, Finn (Faly Rakotohavana). The series also stars Jordyn McIntosh as Little Paige and Marque Richardson as Mal Kennedy.

UnPrisoned is executive produced by Tracy McMillan, Yvette Lee Bowser, Kerry Washington, Pilar Savone, and Delroy Lindo. The show is produced by ABC Signature and all eight episodes are available on Hulu in the US, Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in all other territories.
