Jharrel Jerome Set To Play Wrestler Anthony Robles In 'Unstoppable,' Alongside Jennifer Lopez In Amazon Film

Actor Jharrel Jerome has been busy as of late and is tapped to star as wrestler Anthony Robles in an upcoming Amazon and Artists Equity film called ‘Unstoppable.’ The film will chronicle Robles' life, who despite being born without a leg, was able to excel at wrestling and earn the 2010-2011 NCAA wrestling title. The wrestler also broke the Guinness world record for pull-ups in a minute in 2019.

Jennifer Lopez will also be starring in the film directed by Billy Goldenberg. This will be the second film resulting from Amazon's partnership with Artists Equity, which is owned by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The first film from this partnership, Air, is set to premiere on April 5 in theaters.

Back in 2018, The Chi star Jason Mitchell was set to star in a film based on Robles' life. However, it seems that Jerome will now be taking on the role. The film will be based on Robles’ book, Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became A Champion.

With Jharrel Jerome's rising star and the inspiring story of Anthony Robles, Unstoppable is sure to be a must-see film. We look forward to seeing how Jerome and Lopez bring this story to life on the big screen.

Jharrel Jerome is also starring in the new series ‘I’m A Virgo,’ by Boots Riley set to release on Prime Video as well.
