James Earl Jones Has Passed Away At The Age Of 93

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of actor James Earl Jones. According to multiple sources, the EGOT Award-winning actor passed away earlier this morning in his home at the age of 93.

Jones is widely known for his iconic roles in many culturally relevant films ranging from 1964 to 2021. He starred in several fan-favorite films such as ‘The Greatest’ (1977), ‘Coming to America’ (1988 and 2021), ‘The Meteor Man’ (1993), ‘Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins’ (2008), and more. Additionally, the distinguished actor narrated the unique voices for Star Wars’ Darth Vader and The Lion King’s Mufasa. Jones’ catalogue also extends to the theater stage where he won three Tony Awards for his performances in ‘The Great White Hope’ (1969) and ‘Fences’ (1987), and the 2017 Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement. In 2011, he received the Honorary Academy Award to commemorate his unique, versatile talents during the longevity of his career.
