Idris Elba Set To Play Duncan, Man-At-Arms ‘Masters Of The Universe’
Idris Elba has been cast as Duncan, also known as Man-At-Arms, in Amazon MGM’s upcoming Masters of the Universe movie, directed by Travis Knight. The film, a collaboration between Escape Artists and Mattel, features Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, and Camila Mendes as Teela. Chris Butler penned the script, with Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Robbie Brenner, and Steve Tisch producing.
Man-At-Arms, a seasoned warrior and weapons expert, serves as a mentor to the royal family of Eternia and the leader of the elite strike force, The Masters of the Universe. Alongside his adopted daughter Teela, he protects Eternia from looming threats.
Elba, represented by The Artists Partnership and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole, is also working on Kathryn Bigelow’s Netflix thriller and will reprise his role as Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
