Guess Who’s Coming To ‘The Chi’? Phylicia Rashad, Wendy Raquel Robinson, And Karrueche Tran Bring The Heat In Season 7

Guess who’s coming to ‘The Chi’? The hit drama series just announced that Phylicia Rashad, Wendy Raquel Robinson, and Karrueche Tran are joining the cast for season seven! ‘The Chi’ was created by Lena Waithe and premiered in January 2018. Since then, the show has given us some of the most authentic, gritty, and alluring stories about daily life in the south side of Chicago. 

Now, ‘The Chi’ is turning up the heat with newcomers Rashad, Robinson, and Tran. According to Paramount+, Phylicia Rashad will play Renee, “one of the few people who sees Pastor Zeke for who he really is and can get through to him.” Wendy Raquel Robinson steps into the role of Riley Dalton, a sweet and direct character who has suffered a great deal of loss, yet she commits to helping others weather their own storms. Karrueche Tran rounds out the trio as Zuri, a woman whose good intentions always seem to lead her straight into trouble.

Fans are excited to see the acclaimed trio join the next season, which will be available for streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime on May 16.
