Brian Tyree Henry In Final Talks To Join Star-Studded Cast Of Sam Esmail’s New Thriller
Brian Tyree Henry is in final talks to join Julia Roberts, Elizabeth Olsen, and Eddie Redmayne in Panic Carefully, a Warner Bros. thriller directed by Sam Esmail. Described as a gripping hunt for a cyber-terrorist, the film blends the intense vibes of Mr. Robot and The Silence of the Lambs.
The film marks a reunion between Esmail and Roberts, following their collaboration on Netflix’s Leave the World Behind, which became one of the platform's top-performing English-language films. Warner Bros., securing the project after a competitive bidding war, has committed to a theatrical release.
Produced by Esmail and Chad Hamilton of Esmail Corp., alongside Julia Roberts, Scott Stuber, Marisa Yeres Gill, and Lisa Gillan, the film is set to begin production in England this January.
Henry, fresh off Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and Transformers One, has a packed slate ahead. He stars in Rachel Morrison’s boxing drama The Fire Inside, debuting on Christmas Day via Amazon MGM Studios, and in the Apple TV+ crime drama Dope Thief, premiering March 14. His upcoming projects also include Michel Gondry’s musical Golden, based on Pharrell Williams’ childhood, the dramedy Last Night at the Lobster, opposite Elisabeth Moss, and the animated Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, where he voices Jefferson Davis.
With an Oscar nomination under his belt and an impressive lineup of roles, Henry continues to shine as one of Hollywood’s most versatile talents.
