Watch: Official Trailer And Release Date For ‘Heist 88’ Announced For Paramount+ And Showtime

Courtney B. Vance and his team of amateurs take on the biggest heist in American history in the trailer for the upcoming Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios film ‘Heist 88.’

Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Bassett Vance Productions and Gunpowder & Sky, Heist 88 will premiere Oct. 1 on Showtime, after the series’ Paramount+ with Showtime streaming debut September 29.

Vance stars as Jeremy Horne, described as “the criminal mastermind with an innate ability to convince anyone to do just about anything and who decides to pull one last job before going to prison,” according to the series’ description.

He recruits four young bank employees to steal close to $80 million dollars in a daring and brazen assault on the U.S. banking system. The film takes place in a time before widespread computerization and the vast cybersecurity of today. It reunites Vance with Keesha Sharp, who portrayed Dale Cochran in the award-winning limited series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, and Bentley Green, who recently starred alongside Vance in the drama series 61st Street. HEIST 88 also stars Keith David (The Nice Things), Xavier Clyde (City on Fire), Nican Robinson (Beef) and Precious Way (Days of our Lives).

Sharp plays Bree Barnes, Jeremy’s love interest whose described as “an elegant, smart political consultant who possesses a criminal mind.” David plays Jeremy’s mentor and master safecracker Buddha Ray (aka Raymond Oliver).

Clyde’s character Danny Pugh is described as a “nerdy comic-book collector” who is talented with numbers, data and research who has given up on working at the bank. Green’s character Marshall King is “a cocky, energetic house-music DJ” as well as Jeremy’s nephew.

Nican Robinson plays loyal bank employee Rich Windom, who had dreams of becoming a stockbroker only to stay at “the back of the bank.” Way plays LaDonna Sanders, “a beautiful, bright bank employee” who has ambitions at the bank but remains unnoticed.

Heist 88 is directed by Menhaj Huda and written and Dwayne Johnson-Cochran. Angela Bassett, Vance, Ramirez, Floris Bauer and Dwayne Johnson-Cochran executive produce for Bassett Vance Productions, along with Gunpowder & Sky’s Van Toffler and Barry Barclay. MTV Entertainment Studios’ Amal Baggar, Mychael Chinn, Donny Hugo Herran, Marcia Landsdown and Janee Dabney executive produce with Carlos Lugo as executive in charge of production.
