Watch: ‘Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom’ Trailer Teaser Unveiled

The highly anticipated sequel, "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom," is set to make a splash on December 20, and a tantalizing teaser trailer dropped this past Sunday, giving us a thrilling glimpse of what's to come. In just four days, we can expect the full trailer to arrive, but in the meantime, let's dive into what we know so far.

Jason Momoa reprises his role as Aquaman, in this sequel directed by James Wan. Joining him on this underwater adventure are familiar faces, including Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman.

The logline of the sequel promises an epic showdown: "Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction."

The screenplay was crafted by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, based on a story by James Wan, David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, Jason Momoa, and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett. These creative minds draw inspiration from the DC characters, with Aquaman originally created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger.

Behind the camera, we have a talented team, including director of photography Don Burgess, production designer Bill Brzeski, editor Kirk Morri, and composer Rupert Gregson-Williams. The film's visual effects supervisor is Nick Davis, while costume designer Richard Sale ensures our heroes look on point.

As we eagerly await the full trailer's release, it's clear that "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" promises to deliver a thrilling underwater adventure, packed with action, intrigue, and the return of our favorite oceanic hero. Stay tuned for more updates as we count down to its December 20 release date!
