BET+ and Hartbeat’s upcoming animated series Lil Kev continues to expand its star-studded cast. Gerald “Slink” Johnson (Black Jesus, White Men Can’t Jump) joins as a series regular, alongside supporting cast members Jamar Neighbors (Keanu), Cree Summer (Abbott Elementary), Anjelah Johnson-Reyes (Mad TV), and Patricia “Ms. Pat” Williams (The Ms. Pat Show). The series premieres on March 6.

Comedian and Actor Kevin Hart and BET+ announced today that they are bringing the first original adult animated series to the network soon. Set in 1993 North Philly, this series dives into 12-year-old Kevin’s hilarious misadventures, where wild imagination meets real-life struggles. Wanda Sykes will star as his no-nonsense mom, Nancy and Deon Cole as the unpredictable Uncle Richard Jr.

The comedy-mystery TV series is based on the character Velma Dinkley from the Scooby-Doo franchise.
