Currently in production and slated for a premiere later this year, Rhythm + Flow's executive producers, Jesse Collins and Dionne Harmon, wasted no time in getting to work. Following their involvement in the Emmy Awards ceremony on Monday night, the duo swiftly departed Los Angeles for Atlanta, the primary production hub for Season 2. The show is also being filmed in various cities across the country.

Describing this season as a significant moment for the genre, Collins and Harmon emphasized the powerhouse panel of judges, each playing a distinct and influential role in hip-hop culture. They expressed a broader focus beyond just the music, seeking unconventional voices and authentic stories that delve into layers, inviting fans to immerse themselves in the contestants' world and spotlighting the continually evolving spirit of hip-hop.

Contestants from across the country are gearing up to showcase their talent on Rhythm + Flow, competing for the grand prize of $250,000 and the coveted title of hip hop's newest star.

Making history as one of the first reality competition series on streaming platforms and the pioneer of music competitions, the show's first season featured judges Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I. The inaugural winner, D Smoke, went on to earn Grammy and NAACP nominations.

Netflix's VP of Nonfiction Series, Brandon Riegg, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season, stating, "We are taking things up a notch with a new cast of global hitmakers in our judges and a new pool of undiscovered artists." He highlighted the evolution of hip-hop and the thrill of having Ludacris, Latto, and DJ Khaled as mentors, along with legendary guest judges like Eminem providing their unique insights and advice.

The first teaser for the new season has been released, featuring Latto referencing her career origins as a winner on Jermaine Dupri's reality television series, The Rap Game.

Rhythm & Flow's success has transcended borders, with adaptations in other countries, including France and, most recently, Italy. The show is produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment, Gaspin Media, and Get Lifted Film Co, with executive producers John Legend, Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, Jeff Gaspin, Jeff Pollack, Mike Jackson, Ty Stiklorius, and David Friedman at the helm.
