In an exciting collaboration, renowned actresses Zoë Kravitz, known for her role as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in "The Batman," and Thomasin McKenzie, acclaimed for her performance in "Leave No Trace," are set to lead the cast of the upcoming psychological horror film "Self-Portrait." Directed by Mona Fastvold, known for "The World To Come," the movie promises to captivate audiences with its chilling storyline. Fastvold co-wrote the script with Brady Corbet, the mastermind behind "Vox Lux."

The narrative of "Self-Portrait" revolves around Lu Rile (played by McKenzie), a grieving photographer who relocates to a rundown artists' warehouse in 1990s Brooklyn. It is within these decrepit walls that she forms a close bond with Katherine (Kravitz), a talented painter who resides on the lower floor. Tragedy strikes when Katherine experiences her own heartbreaking loss, inadvertently captured by Lu in one of her self-portraits. This enigmatic image not only conveys an exquisite yet horrifying depiction but also summons a demonic presence determined to unravel their realities. As their mutual grief intensifies and their relationship deepens, the two women find themselves entangled in a terrifying struggle against supernatural forces.

Additionally, Fastvold has directed several episodes of Apple's upcoming limited series "The Crowded Room," featuring Tom Holland.

Topic Studios, in collaboration with Debra Granik, previously worked with Thomasin McKenzie on the highly praised drama "Leave No Trace."
