Watch: Prime Video Leans On Nollywood As It Debuts First African Film, ‘Gangs of Lagos’

Amazon Prime Video is set to premiere its first original film from Africa this April. ‘Gangs of Lagos,’ directed by Jáde Osiberu, is one of the most highly anticipated films to come out of Nollywood, the world's second-largest film industry this year.

The film follows a group of childhood friends navigating their way through life on the streets of Isale Eko, Lagos. With elaborate set pieces, action scenes, and engaging dialogue, Gangs of Lagos is a high-stakes, gritty, and hard-hitting action crime-thriller. The film stars Tobi Bakre, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Chike Osebuka, Chioma Chukwuka, and Iyabo Ojo.
