Netflix and Shondaland held a global event today for their Bridgerton universe super fans ahead of the highly anticipated launch of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Show Creator and Executive Producer Shonda Rhimes announced the official premiere date of May 4, 2023 along with the release of the official teaser for the six-episode limited series.
Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte) also revealed that this Spring, Her Majesty, Netflix, Shondaland, and Fever will Co-Produce The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience in New York City. Guests can register now and learn more about the ball here.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story – Synopsis
Centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.

Arsema Thomas (television debut) plays Young Lady Danbury.
