Reasonable Doubt, created and written by Raamla Mohamed, centers on the life of Los Angeles-based criminal defense attorney Jacqueline “Jax” Stewart, played by Emayatzy Corinealdi. Jax is a high-powered lawyer dealing with past traumas, a failing marriage, motherhood, and a high-profile murder case, all while trying to keep her life together. The series is executive produced by Mohamed, Kerry Washington, and Larry Wilmore.
Chestnut joins the cast as Corey Cash, a charismatic and media-savvy defense attorney who often represents underdogs. When Jax brings Corey in to help on a new high-profile case, she soon realizes that he's more show than substance and could potentially threaten her position at the firm.
