Morris Chestnut

The popular Hulu original drama Reasonable Doubt, produced by Onyx Collective and ABC Signature, has been renewed for a second season. The show has also added a new series regular, Morris Chestnut, best known for his roles in films like Boyz n the Hood, The Best Man, and Think Like A Man.

Reasonable Doubt, created and written by Raamla Mohamed, centers on the life of Los Angeles-based criminal defense attorney Jacqueline “Jax” Stewart, played by Emayatzy Corinealdi. Jax is a high-powered lawyer dealing with past traumas, a failing marriage, motherhood, and a high-profile murder case, all while trying to keep her life together. The series is executive produced by Mohamed, Kerry Washington, and Larry Wilmore.

Chestnut joins the cast as Corey Cash, a charismatic and media-savvy defense attorney who often represents underdogs. When Jax brings Corey in to help on a new high-profile case, she soon realizes that he's more show than substance and could potentially threaten her position at the firm. The series also stars McKinley Freeman, Tim Jo, Angela Grovey, Aderinsola Olabode, and Thaddeus J. Mixson.

Apart from his impressive filmography, Chestnut has also appeared in a number of successful television shows such as American Horror Story, The Resident, and Goliath. He recently reprised his role as Lance Sullivan in the Peacock limited series The Best Man: The Final Chapters.

Reasonable Doubt's second season is expected to deliver more gripping drama, high-profile cases, and complicated relationships. Mohamed, Washington, and Wilmore continue to executive produce the series, with Shawn Holley, Tamara Gregory, and Jon Leshay as co-executive producers. The show is a part of Disney Television Studios and is produced by ABC Signature. Chestnut is represented by Verve and LINK Entertainment.

In conclusion, the addition of Morris Chestnut to the Reasonable Doubt cast is a welcome development for fans of the show. With his impressive acting skills and charming personality, he is sure to bring a new dynamic to the show's already talented ensemble cast.
