Coel will appear alongside Sir Ian McKellen (The Lord of the Rings) and James Corden (Gavin & Stacey) in this twisted tale about the estranged children of a once-renowned artist. The siblings scheme to hire a forger to complete their father’s unfinished works, hoping to profit from their discovery and sale after his death. The screenplay is penned by Ed Solomon, known for his collaborations with Soderbergh on projects like No Sudden Move and the HBO miniseries Mosaic.

This project adds to Coel’s already impressive slate. She’s set to star opposite Anne Hathaway in David Lowery’s Mother Mary for A24 and is developing First Day on Earth, a drama series she’ll write, star in, and executive produce for HBO and the BBC.
