Jharrel Jerome And Jennifer Lopez Star In True-Life Underdog Wrestling Story, 'Unstoppable'

Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for Unstoppable, an inspiring true-life sports drama starring Jharrel Jerome and Jennifer Lopez. Slated for a limited theatrical release on December 6, the film captures the journey of Anthony Robles, who overcame being born without a right leg and a challenging upbringing to achieve an NCAA Division I wrestling championship.

Based on Robles’ memoir, Unstoppable premiered at TIFF and brings his story to the big screen with Lopez portraying his mother, Judy. The cast also features Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Don Cheadle, and Robles himself. Directed by Oscar-winning editor William Goldenberg, the film marks his first feature directorial role.

Written by Eric Champnella, Alex Harris, and John Hindman, Unstoppable is produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's Artists Equity, along with Nuyorican Productions, A Really Good Home Pictures, and others. This marks the second collaboration between Amazon MGM and Artists Equity, following the success of Affleck’s sports drama Air.

Alongside Unstoppable, Amazon MGM is backing several sports-themed films this awards season, including Challengers, The Fire Inside, and Nickel Boys, diversifying its lineup with powerful athletic narratives.
