Eva Longoria’s ‘Flamin’ Hot’ Is First Feature To Land Both Hulu & Disney+ In Streaming Debut

Disney-owned OTT services Hulu and Disney+ are set to stream Eva Longoria's feature directorial debut, ‘Flamin' Hot,’ starting June 9. It is the first time that a new movie will be available on both streaming platforms stateside. The film will stream on Disney+ overseas.

Flamin' Hot is based on the true story of Richard Montañez, a Frito-Lay janitor who used his Mexican-American heritage to turn Flamin' Hot Cheetos from a snack into a global pop culture phenomenon, disrupting the food industry. Jesse Garcia stars as Montañez, alongside Annie Gonzalez as his wife Judy, Emilio Rivera as his father Nacho, and Dennis Haysbert as his mentor Clarence.

Director Longoria expressed her excitement for the film's availability on two streaming platforms, making the universal and inspirational story more accessible to a wider audience. Searchlight Presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield said that they were happy that the film will now be available to more families and audiences around the world.

Producer DeVon Franklin shared his gratitude to Searchlight, Hulu, and Disney+ for giving the team the opportunity to bring Montañez's uplifting true story to over 200 million subscribers worldwide. The film is a Franklin Entertainment Production written by Lewis Colick and Linda Yvette Chávez. Other cast members include Tony Shalhoub, Matt Walsh, Bobby Soto, and Pepe Serna.
