Ella Balinska Apocalypse Horror Film ‘Monsters’ Acquired By Voltage Pictures
Voltage Pictures has secured global distribution rights for Monsters, a new apocalyptic horror film starring Ella Balinska. The company plans to showcase the project at the American Film Market in Las Vegas from November 5-10.
Monsters follows a mother (played by Balinska) as she navigates a post-apocalyptic world filled with ruthless, zombie-like creatures, striving to guide her two young daughters to safety across 20 miles of dangerous terrain. Written and directed by Glenise Mullins, the film is set to begin shooting in January.
Balinska, who rose to prominence with her role in the Charlie’s Angels reboot and later led Netflix’s Resident Evil, will also star in Voltage’s upcoming Marked Men, releasing in early 2025. Mullins, known for her work on hit series such as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, The Continental: From the World of John Wick, and Star Trek: Discovery, brings her storytelling skills to this intense survival tale.
“We are thrilled to work with such exceptional talent,” said Voltage Pictures CEO Nicolas Chartier, praising Balinska’s "unique blend of intensity and vulnerability" and Mullins’ “haunting vision” for the story. Mullins describes Monsters as both a survival story and a “deeply personal” tale of a mother’s instinct to protect her children, touching on themes of love, sacrifice, and enduring hope.
Balinska is represented by UTA and Entertainment 360.
