Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson And Mel Gibson Starring in Indie Crime Thriller ‘Boneyard’

L to R: Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson, Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson are set to star in Boneyard, an independent crime-thriller that has started filming in Las Vegas. The film is being produced by Colin Bates, who worked on the Halle Berry thriller Kidnap and the Arnold Schwarzenegger zombie drama, Maggie.

Boneyard is inspired by true events and follows an FBI special agent, played by Gibson, who, along with the Albuquerque police department, is searching for a serial killer known as The Bone Collector. However, the chief of police and one of his officers believe that someone within their own department may be the killer.

Jackson will play the role of the chief of police, while Brian Van Holt, who starred opposite Kate McKinnon in the limited series Jo vs Carole, will play the officer connected to the case through a missing niece. Nora Zehetner (The Right Stuff) also stars in the film.

Asif Akbar (The Commando) is directing Boneyard, which was written by Hank Bird, Vincent E. McDaniel, Koji Steven Sakai, and Akbar. Flix Financial is co-financing the project with The Film Post and One Dollar Studios.

Gibson recently appeared in the indie crime caper flick Bandit alongside Josh Duhamel and will next be seen in the John Wick spinoff, The Continental, on Peacock this September. Jackson, on the other hand, has made a name for himself in the Starz crime series Power, which has since spawned several spinoffs.

Boneyard is shaping up to be an exciting and highly anticipated crime thriller, and with the star-studded cast and talented production team behind it, it is sure to be a hit.
