Clockwise: Bria Samone Henderson, Stakiah Lynn Washington, Kim Estes, Tonya Pinkins

Bria Samone Henderson, Stakiah Lynn Washington, Tonya Pinkins, and Kim Estes, have joined the cast of ‘Angel City,’ a feature film that will mark filmmaker Noel Braham's directorial debut. Braham, who is also the head of LA's growing Micheaux Film Festival, wrote the screenplay, with Courtney L. Branch producing and Mario Contini serving as the director of photography. Sherri Martin, Dale Martin, Hadassah McGrew, and Michael Knapp are executive producers. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in Los Angeles in April.

Angel City's story follows the journey of Ace, an optimistic rideshare driver in Los Angeles with big dreams of becoming a star. Obsessed with finding his big break, he grapples with the looming specter of homelessness, struggling to make ends meet. When he's suddenly evicted from a hostel, his determination is put to the ultimate test.

Noel Braham

Angel City is an adaptation of Braham's Emmy-nominated short film Watchtower. The short film was inspired by a production assistant who Braham discovered was living in a tent encampment while chasing his dream of becoming an actor. Braham's passion is to tell stories that shed light on the unexplored corners of society, offering a voice to those who are often overlooked and neglected. He believes that every person has a story worth telling, and every dream is worth the sacrifice it takes to fulfill it.

Pinkins is repped by The Rosenzweig Group, Washington by BRS/Gage Talent Agency and Cultivate Entertainment Partners, Henderson by The Gersh Agency and Vanguard Management Group, and Estes by LB Talent Agency and 24/7 Management. Angel City is from LA-based indie Braham Entertainment.
