BET+ Renews Emmy-Nominated Series "The Ms. Pat Show" For Fourth Season

BET+ has officially announced the renewal of its highly acclaimed series, "The Ms. Pat Show," for an eagerly awaited fourth season. The show, which received an Emmy nomination, is a collaboration between Patricia "Ms. Pat" Williams and Jordan E. Cooper. Drawing inspiration from Williams' gripping memoir, "Rabbit: The Autobiography of Ms. Pat," the series chronicles the remarkable journey of a former drug dealer and convicted felon who becomes a suburban mother. With a promise of more laughter and excitement, the upcoming season is anticipated to surpass its predecessors.

One might wonder how Ms. Pat manages to keep the show's storylines fresh and captivating, without running out of new content. In a recent interview, she cheekily shared, "There's something happening in my house every day." Her real-life experiences continue to serve as a wellspring of inspiration, ensuring that each episode offers something unique and relatable to the audience.

As work on Season 4 of "The Ms. Pat Show" was about to commence, the Writers Guild of America (WGA) called for a strike due to the lack of negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). Williams and the show's team are eagerly waiting for a fair deal to be reached, expressing their readiness to get back to work as soon as possible.

In July, it was announced that Ms. Pat had signed an overall deal with BET, solidifying her collaboration with the network. Under this agreement, she will produce, write, and perform in new series and other projects across BET's linear and streaming platforms. As part of the deal, Williams has two shows currently in development: the animated series "Krack Babies" and the workplace comedy "HUD."

Referencing children who fall through the cracks of the system, "Krack Babies" is an animated series set in 1980s inner-city Atlanta, inspired by Williams' own childhood stories. The show revolves around the adventures of four determined kids who navigate the challenges of growing up in the inner city. While the system may fail them, the love and support they receive from unexpected community figures might just help them overcome the odds. Described as "Hey Arnold! for adults," the series fearlessly tackles real-life issues. Williams, Starburns Industries, and Reg Tigerman serve as executive producers.

Williams' second project under the BET deal is a half-hour workplace comedy titled "HUD" (House and Urban Development) takes viewers on a comedic journey through the trials and tribulations faced by a team of public servants working in the government sector of Housing and Urban Development. Drawing from her personal experiences growing up in a family that relied on Section 8 housing, Williams wanted to shed light on the important work done by these individuals to help people transition out of government assistance and improve their lives. Alongside executive producers Patrick Walsh and Aaron Kaplan, Williams aims to bring humor and heart to the portrayal of this often misunderstood profession. Supervising producer Vincent Bryant also contributes his expertise to the series.

In addition to her television endeavors, Ms. Pat is gearing up to embark on a theatre tour across the United States. The tour kicks off on September 8 at the Bomhard Theatre in Louisville, Kentucky, and includes stops in Miami, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Antonio, and her hometown of Atlanta, among others. Fans can anticipate an unforgettable experience as Ms. Pat brings her signature brand of humor and storytelling to live audiences nationwide.

Ms. Pat is represented by APA, Tigerman Management, and Cohen Gardner. With a dedicated team of professionals supporting her career, she continues to make waves in the entertainment industry, showcasing her talents as a comedian, writer, and producer.

"The Ms. Pat Show" has secured its place for another season, promising viewers more laughter, heartfelt moments, and relatable stories. Drawing from the life experiences detailed in Ms. Pat's memoir, the series captivates audiences with its unique blend of humor and authenticity. Additionally, Ms. Pat's partnership with BET expands her creative horizons, allowing her to bring captivating new projects to the screen, including the animated series "Krack Babies" and the workplace comedy "HUD." As Ms. Pat's popularity continues to soar, fans eagerly anticipate her upcoming theatre tour, where they can witness her comedic genius live. With an ever-growing fanbase and a dedicated team behind her, Ms. Pat is poised to make a lasting impact in the entertainment industry.
