Actor Omar J. Dorsey Signs With Gersh For Representation

Omar J. Dorsey has signed with Gersh for representation. Dorsey recently co-starred as Ray in HBO Max’s sports comedy series Bookie, created by Chuck Lorre. The second season of the show, featuring Sebastian Maniscalco, is slated for release in December.

Dorsey is a frequent collaborator with filmmaker Ava DuVernay, having starred in her Oscar-winning film Selma and the Emmy-winning series When They See Us. He also spent seven seasons on the hit drama Queen Sugar, earning a Black Reel Award for his role.

His notable film credits include Harriet and The Blind Side, which grossed over $309 million globally. Dorsey also appeared in the Halloween trilogy, Race to Witch Mountain, and more. His TV work spans series like Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Ray Donovan, Rizzoli & Isles, and CSI.

In addition to Gersh, Dorsey is represented by Aligned Entertainment and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher.
